For decades, Gregg Schiller has been a quiet force behind countless artists, musicians, and community initiatives, creating opportunities, building meaningful connections, and using the power of music to bring people together. Yet, as Friday Nights Live returns for another exciting edition, it's not just the performances taking center stage it's the vision of the man making them possible.

In this exclusive pre-event conversation with IKONIK Magazine, Gregg reflects on the journey that has shaped his mission, the joy of championing emerging talent, and why creating spaces where creativity and community thrive has become his life's work. He also shares what audiences can expect from the upcoming Friday Nights Live and why he believes its greatest impact happens long after the final performance ends.
Friday Nights Live is just around the corner. What excites you most about this upcoming edition, and what can audiences expect?
I'm incredibly excited about the lineup of new performers joining this edition of Friday Nights Live. We've discovered some amazing talent, and audiences can expect fresh performances, exciting new acts making their debut, and, I believe, the beginning of collaborations that will continue long after the show is over.
Every Friday Nights Live brings together musicians, performers, and creatives from different backgrounds. What is your vision for the event beyond the performances themselves?
My vision has always gone beyond putting on a great show. I see Friday Nights Live as a place where meaningful collaborations and lasting relationships are formed bringing together performers from different backgrounds who might never otherwise have had the opportunity to share the same stage or even the same room.
You've dedicated so much of your life to creating opportunities for other artists. Why is it important to you to give emerging and established talent a platform to be seen?
I've always believed in recognizing great talent and giving people the opportunity to shine. Nothing makes me happier than seeing performers I've believed in receive the appreciation they deserve from the public. Watching them succeed gives me the same sense of pride a parent feels watching their children achieve their dreams.

Through Friday Nights Live, he has built a platform where emerging and established talents connect, collaborate, and share their creativity with new audiences.
Throughout our conversations, we discovered stories that many people had never heard before—from your advocacy work to your passion for community building. How did it feel to revisit those experiences and share them publicly?
The interview made me realize I've accomplished far more than I had given myself credit for. It reminded me that it's okay to be proud of the positive impact I've had on other people's lives. Sharing those experiences didn't feel like bragging—it felt like acknowledging a lifetime of meaningful work.
As someone who is usually focused on promoting others, what was it like having your own story documented and celebrated by IKONIK Magazine?
It was a very proud moment. Since the feature was published, I've received incredibly positive feedback from people I know as well as complete strangers. Hearing that my story has inspired others has been deeply rewarding and something I'll always appreciate.

Friday Nights Live, a celebration of music, talent, and community. Known for championing artists and creating spaces where creativity thrives, Gregg has dedicated his journey to discovering talent, supporting performers, and building meaningful connections beyond the stage.
Beyond publishing your feature, IKONIK also helped create promotional materials for Friday Nights Live. How valuable has that creative support been as you prepare for the event?
I have to admit that I'm not particularly confident when it comes to the technical side of computers and digital promotion. Having IKONIK's creative support, technical expertise, and thoughtful suggestions has been invaluable. The quality of the promotional materials exceeded my expectations, and we're already seeing the positive impact.
Is there anything about your journey or your work that you feel people understand better now because of this collaboration?
Absolutely. The collaboration helped people and even me see how music has always been the thread connecting everything I've done throughout my life. Oyeta did a wonderful job of identifying music as the central theme that ties together my advocacy, community work, and passion for bringing people together.
What do you hope first-time attendees will experience when they walk into Friday Nights Live on October 23?
I hope they experience the same excitement and satisfaction I felt while auditioning performers and watching rehearsals come together. I want them to leave feeling inspired, entertained, and genuinely happy they attended. At previous shows, audiences enjoyed themselves so much they didn't want the evening to end, even asking us to continue beyond the scheduled finish time. That's the experience I hope to recreate.
If another artist, founder, or community leader was considering working with IKONIK Magazine, what would you tell them about your experience so far?
I would tell them how fortunate they are to have the opportunity to work with Oyeta and the IKONIK team. The level of support, encouragement, and genuine belief they invest in the people they feature is remarkable. This collaboration has genuinely changed my life for the better, and I'm grateful for everything IKONIK has done.
Looking beyond October 23, what are you building toward? What should people be paying attention to next from Gregg Schiller?
October 23 is only the beginning. I'm already planning future editions of Friday Nights Live and working with an exciting lineup of performers who want to be part of the journey. There's a lot more to come, and I can't wait to continue building opportunities for artists while growing the Friday Nights Live community.
